Old Hwy 99N

  • Construction crews will complete work on the South Bridge replacement in the next two weeks. The South Bridge, located just north of Taft Drive and south of Virgia Lane, where Hwy 99N crosses Davis Creek, has been closed since June 24, 2019. The plan is to open the new South Bridge to traffic on Monday, September 9, 2019, the same day that they plan to begin work on the North Bridge replacement. The North Bridge, located between Pioneer Road and Page Road where Hwy 99 North crosses Davis Creek, will be closed to through traffic at the bridge from September 9 to October 30. In order to minimize the congestion and impact to motorists, residents and construction crews, motorists are asked to follow the suggestions below. Warning signs and delineators are installed to notify the motoring public of the bridge closure. The bridge closure and detours will impact your drive time and routes. A map of the detour, anticipated construction timeline and bridge closure.

  • During the North Bridge Closure, Please Note the Following:

  • Through Traffic: All through traffic must detour to I-5 at Edenbower Blvd, Exit 127, and the I-5 at Del Rio Road, Exit 129. The detour is indicated in green on the map below.

  • North Bound Local Access: There WILL be local access for businesses and residents up to Page Road.

  • South Bound Local Access: There WILL be local access for businesses and residents up to Pioneer Way.

  • Pedestrian, Non-motorized and Emergency Vehicle Access: There will be pedestrian, non-motorized and emergency vehicle access available.

  • Local Businesses and Amacher Park: Please note that ALL local businesses, as well as recreational opportunities at Amacher Park will be OPEN and accessible throughout the construction process and bridge closure.

Garden Valley paving:

  • Project will start on Sunday, September 8, 2019 and run through October 4, 2019.

  • Location: Garden Valley Road (County Road #6) starting at milepost 2.10 at the Roseburg city limits to milepost 5.5 at Brown’s Bridge, where it crosses the North Umpqua River. (See Attached Map)

  • Week 4: Sunday, September 29 to Friday, October 4
    Tentatively scheduled for Night Shift from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am
    The final work schedule for this week is still to be determined. We will provide an update when it becomes available. Construction crews will be restriping Garden Valley Road starting at the north end, heading south, make the turn at Roseburg limits and head back towards Brown’s Bridge. Traffic flow during the construction hours will be controlled by flaggers and pilot cars.


  • Location: Little River Road @ M.P. 24.6. Little River Road (County Road #17). Approximately 14 miles up Little River Road from OR Hwy 138, near the city limits of Glide, Oregon. The city of Glide is located approximately 16.8 miles Northeast of Roseburg on OR Hwy 138. (See Attached Map)

  • Closures: Road is currently posted and restricted to one lane in the area. Motorists are asked to continue to exercise caution, looking for falling rocks and paying attention to on-coming vehicles before proceeding. Please watch for additional signage and notification of road closures and delays coming soon. Please always obey the cone zone and keep safety in mind for our construction workers, and be mindful of equipment staging on the shoulders and pull out areas.

Frozen Creek Culvert Replacement

  • July 9 - September 30, 2019 - North Myrtle Rd (County Road #15) near Frozen Creek Road is restricted to a one lane detour for repairs. Advance warning notices and traffic delineation are in place to notify the motoring public of the lane closures and detours. Motorists are asked to expect brief delays in the project area. Please always obey the cone zone and keep safety in mind for our construction workers, and be mindful of equipment staging on the roadway.


Safety of the traveling public is always a high priority. Please use caution when traveling in the area, utilize alternative routes whenever possible, and follow and obey all posted signs, warnings, and flagging instructions.
